- Tell Me More About The History of WeishFest!
WeishFest (pronounced “Wish” Fest) is a one-night music event unlike anything in the area, held by and for a 501c3 non-profit organization called The Andrew Weishar Foundation ("Weish4Ever"). Every dollar we raise at this event benefits Weish4Ever's mission of providing direct support and financial relief to families with adolescents and young adults battling cancer. WeishFest started in 2013 as a summer music festival at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood, IL. In 2016, the event moved indoors to 115 Bourbon Street to create a one of a kind, intimate, indoor music event. WeishFest has quickly gained national attention and 2021 will be the event's 8th year as the biggest party on the Southside of Chicago. Along with some regional favorites, WeishFest has welcomed national artists such as Andy Grammer, O.A.R., Dispatch. Third Eye Blind, Walker Hayes, Rodney Atkins, Eddie Money, Warrant & more! In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our virtual "WeishFest @ Home" was brought to our fans' living rooms with virtual performances by Old Dominion, Marc Roberge of O.A.R., Walker Hayes, Canaan Smith, Dispatch, and also featured special guest appearances from Dan "Big Cat" Katz (Barstool Sports), Lucas Giolito (Chicago White Sox), Eddie Olcyk, Pat McGann, Zach Miller, and more!

Concert For A Cause

Bring joy & financial relief to families with adolescents & young adults battling cancer. The "AYA" cancer community is an underserved population of patients - making Weish4Ever's mission even more impactful. We strive to fill this void and be a vehicle for support.

Sparked by A Selfless Wish

How It All Began

Inspired by its namesake, colorectal cancer struck Andrew Weishar during his freshman year of college. Over the next three years, Andrew valiantly battled cancer while a community corralled around him. As the end neared, Andrew asked us to pay forward the goodwill bestowed upon our family. From that promise, the Andrew Weishar Foundation was born.
